April Prayer Requests

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.” Matthew 7:8-9

Jesus speaks this to anyone who will listen. He’s preaching a sermon in Matthew 7 and there are many different types of people in the audience: the “sinners” with whom no one cares to meet, the “good” people who try their best to follow the rules, and the Pharisees who didn’t think they needed anything from Jesus. But Jesus pushes the labels aside and simply tells them that anyone, anyone, who wants more of God will get God. Anyone searching for Truth will find Him. God has sent Jesus for all people, and Jesus tells them that He will not ignore anyone who seeks Him.

This is our prayer; that any student who wants Jesus will find Jesus. Any student who isn’t satisfied with what they’ve been fed from society will search for something more, and their search will be fulfilled by a relationship with Christ. Our prayer is that students would use EDGE as a tool to share this Truth with their friends and allow their friends a well from which they can drink Living Water.

Please continue to pray for:

  1. Our Executive Director, as he is meeting with over 15 local churches in the next few days and is actively sharing about EDGE with both senior and youth pastors. Pray for fruit from these meetings and increased partnerships with local churches and their youth groups.
  2. Students are beginning exams now, including AP exams. Please pray that they will not just do their best, but remember their worth comes from God.
  3. Please pray for coaches and student leaders who have poured into EDGE this past year; help them to continue discipleship relationships with students as the exam schedule starts.
  4. Thank you to those interested in hosting a dessert social to help support this ministry! If you’d like to learn more about how you can do the same, please contact Ellen Hembree at ellen@edgeclub.org.

Thank you for your prayers!

Our mission is to connect students to Jesus Christ and the local church.
